Britney/Christina fans will love this Las Vegas lady's debut offering featuring nine original tracks, three Spanish versions and a remix. Produced/co-written by among others Kene "Ghost" Bell (Out Of Eden, Stacie Orrico) and John Katina (The Katinas), this pop/R&B album never would sound like a debut; but Jme's stunning voice already commands its place fronting these excellent arrangements - and this is "just the beginning"! Immediate, in-yer-face programmed pop is soup-of-the-day but we are also served up soulful ballads featuring lovely guitar work from Bell (on "Break Of Day", reminiscent of Roachford), Brett Hansen and David May. So what's in a name? Even cursory listening reveals a capital "J" with "me" in small letters at this lady's heart- no Aguilera/Spears egocentricity for this girl! "Lay It Down" is her bookend exhortation opening/closing the CD. Jme sings "All About You", first in English then Spanish! She even clarifies all this in a delightful if giggly 'interview' (actually a short monologue revealing her heart and vision.):- "My songs...speak about laying down your life for God so he can use you the way that he intended to, and that sacrifice is so little in comparison to what you get in return...remember that it's not always about you- it's about him, and it's all going to be worth it in the end." Sing out, sister!

When I reflect on the ministry and heart for worship that Jme Medina has been anointed with, I stand in awe. She has blessed our Youth Ministry at Word Of Faith Christian Center Nashville on multiple occasions, each time leaving a lasting impression. We are not talking about a worship leader who can just sing, but one who has a heart for worship. Not only a songstress, Jme is a very capable exhorter. Before every song there is a scripture read and an exhortation shared with those in attendance. Biblical foundation is set for every song and worship of the true and living God erupts as a result. Every time Jme came to lead worship for us, it was not just a special music minister coming, but a worship experience waiting to happen. Jesus was exalted each and every time. We were pointed to, and ushered into the very presence of God. It got to the point where youth were filling the altar to overflowing, falling to their knees, and crying out for more of God. When I would mention Jme coming in to lead us for Praise and Worship our youth would light up and know to come expecting to enter into the depths of the inner court of the Lord. Jme as a person has been such a blessing to my wife Tamyra and I. She is always willing to help with anything we need for youth ministry, and seriously searches for ways to bless our youth. We work together at the same company and Jme is always smiling and filled with the Joy of the Lord. It is one thing to see a person one Sunday out of a month every few months but another to see that same person daily at work. Jme displays the same joy, working in the corporate world as she has ministering in song. That type of consistency is rare and refreshing today. Jme Medina has proven by the fruit of her life that she is not only an anointed worship leader but even more so a firmly rooted believer of Jesus Christ, prayer warrior, and dear friend.
